The Fisherman's Lament

Sailing across the ocean blue  Singing shanties with my merry crew We cast our nets into the briny waters To provide for our wives, sons, and daughters. But when are nets grew heavy and taut We heaved them up to see what we caught. And what did our accursed eyes behold? Fish with scales that glistened like gold. My Yellow Baseball Cap

My yellow baseball cap

With the bumblebee on the front

Is my favorite baseball cap

To wear while I’m out and about.

It’s nice to wear out

On warm sunny days

So I don’t become blinded

By the sun’s bright rays.

It’s nice to wear my cap

With my light brown pants

Along with a green shirt;

Yellow goes great with colors like that.

It’s nice to hold onto my cap

So that my it won’t blow away in the wind

While I’m sitting in the backseat

With the car’s windows rolled down.

My yellow baseball cap

With the bumblebee on the front

Is my favorite baseball cap

But it’s also my only one.
